Thanks....the main problem is that there are no more F seats in UA's inventory. So if I cancel my current itinerary, there is no guarantee that my cancelled F seat will go back into reward inventory, and there is nothing for her to hold now, as the seat doesn't exist......does that make sense? or am I missing something?
