ah, CPlus... so much done for so many by so few.

I chose to fly Canadian, even though it may have not necessarily been the most convenient routing. I have patiently witnessed this airline initially claw its way back from the brink, noted the many sacrifices made by the employees, and cringed at the stock price.

I watched horrified at the Onex / AC debacle, and was later mortified to learn that the Feds appointed a hockey referee as Ombudsman. I was aghast at the recent spectacle of AC publicly attacking his credibility, and remain uncomfortably transfixed by their continuing display of corporate arrogance.

I salute the women and men of Canadian for their commitment in the past year to ensuring the quality of their customer's experience was of the highest standard possible, in spite of the fact that they knew it was all over for the company. Their integrity and forbearance has maintained the dignity of Canadian Airlines, and I thank these people for their dedication and goodwill.

I wish you all much success in the new year, and can only hope that AC will finally mature into an understanding that its the front-line people, NOT the bean counters, who get the job done...
