Welcome to FlyerTalk,
Delta744. Always nice to have Northwest/Delta employees as part of the FT Team. I completely understand, as I have found it difficult to get to my favorite seat (1J) without disrupting folks.

So you love the left turn, huh?

There are a few exceptions when the left turn is desirable, most notably boarding through either 744 door to go upstairs. ^ If only that happened more often.

Having a jetway connected to 1L, esp. for the 333 would allow faster disembarking, as passengers in Y on the right side could use 1L while passengers on the left side could use 2L (after BE pax have exited). That would allow customs to scour the plane and the cleaners on board earlier.
Yes, but if I'm seated in WBC, that could mean I'd have to compete with those in Y to get first in line for customs. Of course when I'm in Y, then I'd like the second door to be used.
