Yea, it probably would suck for the company to be sitting directly on top of a giant profit generating machine.
In fairness though, it appears that the Four Seasons in Vegas took the same route and is a "non gaming" property, though on there website they state that, "our non-gaming sanctuary provides immediate access to the amenities of Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino."
