If it were me, I would stick with the MC. Visa, even before the crackdown, seemed to be harder to get. Maybe just the start of the crackdown but do not know.
In the past, Citi tended to keep personal and business applications separate. That is you could apply for 2 personal cards every 60 days and 1 business card every 90 days. However, again, that seems to have changed. My wife has been churning at the rate of 1 personal card per month. Late last month, she applied for a business card (her first one). Was denied due to prior applications.
Bottom line is I would suggest just applying for 1 card and see what happens. If you get an approval, then apply for a second. Why waste 2 credit pulls when the chances of even getting one approved is probably slim.
