Any other opinions on the questions in my post?:
I applied, and was approved, for a Citi AA Mastercard and AMEX in late September. I then applied for the Cit AA Visa first week of October and was denied due to multiple applications in the past 60 days (did not know about that at the time). I was planning on trying fro 2 cards mid December, since that is about 65 days from the rejection and about 70 days since my last approval. I now see the discouraging news about already having an AA card. I have a few questions about the best way to still give it a shot....
1. Since I have the MC and AMEX (oh, these were my first ever Citi AA specific cards), is my best bet the Consumer Visa? Might they still consider this my "first" since the others are MC and AMEX?
2. If I opt for the Consumer Visa and want to try a second (as in the "old" 2 per 60 day rule) is the best bet the Visa Business, or a second MC/AMEX?
3. If I opt for the Visa Business, is there anything special I should watch out for? I do sell a good portion of my Season Tickets (baseball) online via e-bay etc and a few other items ,and I guess could claim that is my business, but I really don't have substantial income from this and I believe they ask for income from the business. I would bet that many folks out there are not actually business owners who get the business card. Maybe you all are…..but IF you were not….how would you approach this?
Thanks!
