I thought to ask this here as I assumed those who live in the NY metropolitan area would have used this terminal more often than the public at large. I will be travelling with 2 pieces of hand luggage---my under 22" pullman and a totebag. I've noticed that the TSA is more lax in JFK and LGA than in other airports and this only matters flying from JFK. Do you think I could get away with having a quart sized bag of liquids for each bag instead of just one quart bag for the trip? I ask because I'm giving a gift of cologne to a friend of mine when I arrive in Frankfurt and I really have no room for it in my one quart sized bag. Any experience with this? Thanks.

When I've travelled internationally from Term 3, the TSA rarely asks anyone to remove the toiletry bag from the luggage anyway. Not sure if this is the case for Terminal 4.
