No, I didn't think the miles came out of my Delta account. I was naive and assumed the 40,000 just came off my Visa Choices account --- since they make a big deal about this Choices thing as a benefit of having the card. The card I have gave me 5,000 EQMs when I opened the account --- and I vaguely recall a promise of more EQMs after a certain amount of card spending.
