My HI will be getting it shortly. Up until recently there hasn't been a standard on whether waffle makers were allowed. It was actually at the Hampton brand conference last February when they announced that it was becoming standard, along with increased choices at breakfast. Since some HIs already had waffle makers we would occasionally get people suggesting we get one.

We know it's going to be a mess, the standards say to avoid putting the machine near a smoke detector, but from what we've been hearing they are extremely popular.

Funny thing, we just got a complaint from a guest criticizing just about everything on our breakfast, including that we didn't have a waffle maker.
