In the end, I ended up calling and booked a LEX-SLC 24 DEC and SLC-LEX
4 JAN for 32,500 miles at a cost of $10. Calling actually gave me more options--despite being told that it was legal, trying to book SDF-SLC, SLC-LEX kept giving me error messages. Although I prefer using miles for Business TATL or TPAC trips, the exact itinerary would have cost me $732.90, so I'm fairly pleased.
