UA914 SFO-IAD: Medical Issue Forces SFO Flight To Early Landing

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) A United Airlines flight from San Francisco to Washington, D.C made an unscheduled landing at Las Vegas Thursday morning because of a medical emergency.

Flight attendents told passengers aboard fllight 914 that a man in his 50s suffered what appeared to be a heart attack.

About 20 minutes after takeoff from SFO, a flight attendant asked over the intercom if there were a doctor on board, and cabin crew were seen taking a first-aid kit to the rear of the economy cabin.

The plane, a Boeing 777, was just northeast of Las Vegas when the Captain announced the flight would be diverted to McCarran International Airport in Vegas.
