We're still calling for 2-4" too in the Houston metro area. The difference with this snowstorm and last year's is that the transition to snow will occur during the middle of the day whereas the transition occurred right around 5p last year. It's going to be tough to get accumulations going during daylight hours, so this event probably won't be as accumulation-heavy as last year's. A big mess in IAH nonetheless.
