And you certainly have a choice!! Don't stay there if you think the price is too high! I personally wouldn't pay USD 317 for an "average" Sheraton NYE dinner either (unless it included premium champagnes, wines etc and it was a special evening).

My advice would be to check the inclusions in the NYE dinner. If you can get thru a bottle of Dom Perignon, a couple of glasses of good wine, maybe a snifter of a good cognac XO to finish a nice meal that included caviar, lobster etc then all of a sudden it doesn't seem bad value to me.

And the Sheraton Pattaya is a really really nice, clean and isolated property, in what is arguably the seediest, dirtiest town in all of Thailand.
