My advice would be to check the inclusions in the NYE dinner. If you can get thru a bottle of Dom Perignon, a couple of glasses of good wine, maybe a snifter of a good cognac XO to finish a nice meal that included caviar, lobster etc then all of a sudden it doesn't seem bad value to me.

And the Sheraton Pattaya is a really really nice, clean and isolated property, in what is arguably the seediest, dirtiest town in all of Thailand.
Exactly... its amusing and amazing that most here will espose the benefits of a free market economy.. except when it applies to them

Lots of Las Vegas properties were charging +$500 per night with a three night minimum (regular rates about $100) over the Millenium.
Amazing simple soultion.. stay elsewhere.. they might e_mail you to tell it dropped to $30.
