This has been mentioned before but is worth repeating.

I signed up Ms Raffles for a BMI Amex at the weekend. However, it was not immediately approved and I got the 'please call us to discuss your application' message.

I did not call (obviously) and today I got an e-mail saying that she is approved and the card is on its way.
