There is no risk for me as a pilot; you bear the risk all alone, namely that you will be charged with a few felony counts of obstructing.
Think of it as being a guest in someone's house. If you don't do what they ask you to do (whatever it may be), they can kick you out. Unfortunately, if that happens on a plane, it automatically means that you will be detained, even if you didn't do anything wrong.
