There is another thread, elsewhere, on the subject of Sydney transportation - but in short -
Yes, you can get a weekly transportation pass at the airport. If you are taking the train in from the airport (which is very quick) and goes direct to Circular Quay - then you get a big discount on the train fares. A weekly pass is about $50 AUD and the round trip train to/from the airport is about $16 AUD extra when you buy the pass (otherwise train is about $15AUD each way). Note that the airport stops are extra and not included in the unlimited bus/train/ferry pass.
You should get the pass that includes Manly Beach ferry (it is about $7 more). But you get unlimited ferry boat rides - such as the Manly Beach, Zoo, Watson Bay, etc. They could travel to Bondi Beach on the Bus, maybe Newtown, and other sections of SYD.
