I am for your suggestion even if it means giving up the Plat amenity.

The consistent delivery of top tier benefits is a real issue in some SPG Hotels but I fear that a Lurker will suggest that Starwood would only be left with Hotels they own outright if such a policy came into force as those with management contracts up for renewal would look elsewhere.
