Has improved a lot. T5 is pretty good. Sofitel connected to T5 is great.

I think it doesn't get much better than MUC. Except that often you have quite a walk to a gate, and then it is a bus gate. Bus gates should all be close to the centre of the terminal.

Disagree - the security at the gate means you have to go through security even for Schengen-Schengen connections. I also find the layout confusing.

It's ok, but again, security is at the gate, which means you always need to go through security again.
