Help Needed.

I posted this in an older forum so thought I'd try in a thread.

I am a former chairmans us air member-downturn = no flying--2010- plans to start flying chairmans level miles again.

Problem is- my silver runs out Feb 2010- I am wanting to get that trial silver program if they open it back up- but the T&C's state have to be base member.

My goal is to fly the 30k plus in 90 days jan-march and then get chairmans

The "need to be base" kinda stinks. Nice that silver lasts until feb 28 but it is a catch 22. If I fly a lot jan/feb- doesn't help get the expedited status level. And since I WILL fly a lot i will be elite and not able to do the expedited status level or early chairmans.

I considered doing the race to elite promo- but my problem is that I woudn't do enough flying to get my chairmans back. On the challenge, I would easily reach chairmans jan-march.

So if I do some flights to get silver for 2011 now through the existing promo- I have to wait until the end of the year to qualify for chairmans when I reach 120k miles. If they let me do the promo jan-march- I would make chairmans within that 90 day period.

Hope that makes sense-

I guess I might have to fly another airline jan/feb/march and do their challenge and then come back. And I doubt explaining this to US will make a difference

suggestions-thoughts-??

thx in advance for all your help. First day registering on the forum as going back to road warrior status soon
