No - with a European adress one only needs 800 TPs. As said before, I normally do the trick with one trip to the US and a bit of flyin in the US. With F/C TP on the BA01 C-Class flight it is currently even easier. This year I did FRA-LCY-NYC and v/v for 1950 Euro which gave me 440 TPs and a simple NYC to SFO return in AA F (which was some kind of a torture) but scored another 360 TPs.
