Little bit off the original topic. But should I bother gunning for executive status this year? I look through the national thread and see a bunch of complaints about how the service and cars have been going downhill. So should I grab that extra couple of rentals this year or should I go to another company where the grass may be greener. This year has been a slow travel year for me but it looks like that will be turning around shortly.
I think its probably worthwhile to try to get to Executive level since you get access to the Executive Selection which "usually" has better cars than regular Emerald Aisle. For me this is key while the additional benefits of Executive Elite is only the faster earning of banked free days (guaranteed availability for advance bookings & fixed base delivery of cars don't really hold any value for me).
