In the past friends/family of the crew received free upgrades.

I've recently heard though that management have told all staff that to upgrade friends or family is tantamount to fraud and is a disciplinary offence.

I would talk to a friend about it, but wouldn't want them to get sacked.

As always the best way for an upgrade is to pay for it with cash or miles!
