I just had a great F flight back from the States.

Cabin crew were superb. CSD did his job properly - introduced himself, shook hands and was polite etc. That doesn't happen to me often these days, so it was actually appreciated even if it is part of a "routine". I didn't see him much after that as he was off to work in club, but he seemed very professional.

Had a good chat with the Purser about the strike/changes, and I found her attitude very refreshing. "Well the changes are a shame, but I don't want to lose my job more importantly", she said.

The food however just isn't good enough in F these days. This is obviously not the fault of the cabin crew. The Châteauneuf-du-Pape punches way above what is plated up IMO.... Even I know enough about cooking to know that you don't make a meal great by loading it with a ton of butter and salt. Simply not on for the ticket cost. I've had far better meals on airlines like Qatar in Business Class.

Anyway, it was good to see that there are some strong-minded folk out there working for BA who are keen to keep standards high even if there are unwelcome changes going on in the company.
