Complimentary Diamond buffets maintain my interest in the Hyatt chain and access to the spa draws me in when traveling with my SO.

Without a sense of entitlement, I hope the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek can maintain the sparkling impression we have of the brand.

I agree with the above post. Definitely dial down your expectations. PH BC is certainly not on the same level as most Int'l PHs, that's for sure.
1) Yes, you now get the full buffett breakfast at PH BC. It's fairly good and normally costs $24 per person IIRC.
2) No, Diamonds do NOT get spa access. That said, I was able to score a couple free spa extrance passes on my last stay there (took the front desk agent awhile to scrounge/dig some up for me though). I did this by pressing them on exactly what I was paying for in the Resort Fee. Everything they listed as being part of the Resort Fee is basically a Diamond benefit with the exception of the 2 free bottles of water. So basically my full Resort Fee was going to cover 2 bottles of water. When I told the front desk agent what I thought of that, and angled for spa facility passes (or a waiver of my Resort Fee), he was able to find me the spa passes. ^ Not sure I would count on this happening as a guideline though.
