Flew IAD-GVA last week, and due to mechanical probs, we were 4+ hours late.

They handed out apology letters and forms when we got on the new plane in IAD. The form had some vague wording about possible compensation, and they urged everyone to fill it out.

I wonder...should I send in the form, which seems like agreeing to whatever they decide to give me, or should I send a separate letter of my own, asking for a specific recompense?

I can't seem to find anything related in the thread on compensation....
