Check SAN or LAS. You could probably even get to LAS through STS. Both LAS or SAN are easy drives to Pasadena, but neither beats the ease of BUR. Be forewarned though, traffic around the Rose Bowl is a total mess.

Or check WN, there's a stop involved but their schedule is a lot more robust into the LA area.
