Hi All,

I am new to FlyerTalk and had a question concerning skipping the last segment of a multi-destination itinerary. I need to fly from RDU to EWR on Dec. 12, and then EWR to DCA on Dec. 14. I am returning to North Carolina from Washington, DC on Dec. 16. When looking into buying tickets, it is less expensive to buy a multi-destination trip on Continental, however the timing of the return flight from DC to NC is not convenient and also has a connection. I may be able to get a car ride from DC to NC instead of using the final segment of the multi-destination itinerary. Are there any penalties, fees, etc. associated with doing this? Any help, comments, or suggestions are appreciated. Thank you
