Shoot... I've been on a UA 737 ORD-SEA that had to make a fuel stop due to super high winds.
I think it's a case where there's little downside to the airline for offering new service even if it is close to the limits of the plane. Which is the worse of eliminating winter BCN service or having a 757 make a fuel stop/VDB pax?
