I too have noticed..and felt...the effects of BA not cleaning their planes properly. On my last trip from JFK to LHR not only were there bits of partially eaten cereal around my seat upstairs, but when I got up to take a walk I stepped on a shard of glass which dug into my toe. I told the cabin steward who apologized profusely. I also wrote to BA and received a very disrespectful reply. I was told that they are working on an improved cleaning scheme and hope to do better. I replied that I felt that picking up shards of glass should not be part of a new cleaning scheme but should have been incorporated into the original plan of action. No further action from BA towards me. I was offended. I think I had a right to be.
