Anyone else noticed absent cleaning from LHR recently?
On my LHR - ARN sector last week the cleaners had not cleaned the seats...

I kindly informed the CSD (767) who said she would take a note and report back. I spotted 7 seats which were not cleaned. All had various amounts of bread crumbs on them.

I'm actually not that fussed however it is safe to assume if they did not bother cleaning the seats, what about the rest?

I sent a kind complaint (stating I just would like to see better cleaning for the sake of BA, and they should consider a different contractor) to BA CS and today I received the response. I did not ask for any compo.

Thank you for your email of 20 November. I am sorry to hear that you felt the plane looked shabby on your recent flight. It is not what you would expect of British Airways.

We know how important the aircraft’s appearance and cleanliness is to our customers. We have made improvements to our cabin environment a top priority. This has meant spending more on specialist cleaning equipment and setting up new performance-based contracts with the cleaning company we use.

We have also re-examined our own processes to make sure that problems in the cabin are dealt with as quickly as possible. Everything is recorded and passed on to our maintenance team as soon as the aircraft lands, so they can put it right.

We acknowledge that there is still work to do in this area. We have started the changes and we are getting a positive reaction from our customers. We will continue to focus on long term improvements to our aircraft.

The response from BA CS was insulting and has really infuriated me and I will never fly BA again.
