The one issue is that the Newport Road stop is not so obvious from the Bath Road HI (whereas the stop in front of the HI Ariel is quite obvious, plus has more bus services running toward Heathrow from it).

If you go the Bath Road route, I'd recommend scouting out the bus stop beforehand. It was a pain to search for with luggage.
