I am an AC SE and I have the Centurion card. I find the hotel benefits useful. I've also used the travel interruption insurance twice this year (the limit is $1k - not sure if Plat is that high?). Concierge service is also much better than Plat. I don't know how, but twice they got me into restaurants that I couldn't get into myself and insisted when I called that they were fully-booked (neither was one of the limited ones they are supposed to have reserved tables with). Haven't used car rental yet, but that is a pretty good benefit too. All in all, if you travel a lot and stay in hotels that participate in the program, there are some good benefits.
