1. Holds I know only are valid for online (no more phones as of sometime Mar 08). Are they applicable for both award and paid tix? I know DL has 24 hour cancellation policy as NW did for paid tix, but not for award tix

2. Does a hold really work as a free cancellation period? In other words, let's say you put a low award on hold, are you guaranteed that low award if you book it within the 48 hour window? It can't go from low to med or high right?

3. Does it make sense to do a hold, two days later do another hold, and repeat as long as the award is available - if you want to delay making a purchase decision?

4. DL stated the hold policy vs the cancellation policy for award travel is to keep seats available for folks given so many itineraries are not exactly taken (similar to their spin about PE award waivers going to two). But isn't it true that the "hold" actually holds that award seat for the 48 hours anyway?
