I just talked to a CP agent (my account is with CP) and was told no. Just as AC*SE said the revenue ticket rules prevail for them.

For CP members, I also did not know the number of points required will increase for award travel as of Jan. 1.

I decided to go LGA-o/YYZ-NRT, which now requires 80,000 points. This will jump to 10,000, the agent told me. I just did the booking right away.
