LAX-GDL-MZT/Connection question

Hi all,

I am on LAX-GDL-MZT for new years. Edited to include we are on MX. We have a 1:40 connection in GDL.
I have never connected international before. Will we have to do immigration/customs in GDL? If so, is that enough time?

Thanks for any insight on the process in GDL.
