I'm a bit confused about the benefit to using Idine for hotel bookings. I normally book direct with Marriott online and pay with a MR VISA to maximize points. Now, if I book direct with IDine for a Marriott property I still get my usual MR points for my stay, plus the miles that IDine offers for booking with them, but what I don't get is the triple points for using my MR VISA at a Marriott hotel. This is because Idine requires pre-payment directly TO THEM. Any thoughts? I sure like the miles that I have been getting by booking with IDine but I am not sure if it is worth losing the extra MR points.
