Due to a cancelled Asia business trip this Fall, I will be about 18000 status miles short of qualifying for 2010 Super Elite. From YUL, it looks like it will cost about $2k all-in (or $3.5k in F/J via CO) to do a MR to HKG or AKL over a period of 3 days in late December. Are the SE perks worth the investment in time and money?

I anticipate travelling similar amount of business mileage in 2010 as I have been for 2009, but hoping to bring my wife along on at least one overseas trip (probably to Europe).
