In fairness to Marriott, my favorite program, they are wrong on this one (in my opinion). As posted in other messages (by me and others), it has been years since Marriott offered outstanding upgrades on a regular basis. (That is, I appreciate the upgrade to the Concierge floor, which is the type I get regularly - but I miss the "outstanding" upgrade to the occasional suite.) I find that my percentage of "outstanding" upgrade with Marriott, where I am Platinum, it about the *same* as my percentage of "outstanding" upgrades at hotels that don't hardly know me (1 in 20, I would say).
