Happy Thanksgiving to all FT'ers out there.

I've decided to drive home after the holidays rather than fly... long story... and i'm not to happy to forgo BIS miles during the DEQM promotion... but it has to be done.

Anyway... does anyone know if United will give me any type of credit for the unused "return" portion of my ticket to use at a future date? Do I need to call and tell them that I'm not going to be on the flight... would this be appreciated or just a waste of my time?
