Actually, I'd keep them connected and see what happens (see if you get the EUA at one day or go to the BF UG). On the old NW system (that many have speculated post 10/1 is still in place) both you and your companion will be on the top of the WL (if the DL system hasn't replaced the NW system for NW metal yet).
