I'm on AS 668 SEA-AUS tomorrow. Dutifully got online this afternoon to check in...great thing to avoid the counter on one of the busiest travel days of the year, right? Sadly, this didn't work out. My record came up as needing "airport assistance". The reason? AS thinks I'm checking my dog in cargo.

Unfortunately that's a mistake -- the pooch isn't going on this trip. I called the Gold line to see if they could clear this up so I can print my boarding pass today. They could see that the checked pet was an error that had been corrected weeks ago, but due to an unnamed "glitch" they cannot clear the Airport Assistance flag from my itinerary.

So it looks like I'll be standing in a long line at the ticket counter tomorrow after all. That's disappointing, but on the bright side I must say that the folks at AS are very diligent about caring for pets in cargo.
