From my experience it's generally first come first serve for reserving seats with a bassinet. Call to reserve those seats now for the two of you. Then monitor your reservation every few weeks or so to make sure you don't get moved. Failing that, call in at T-72h and T-24h to get shifted to those seats. And don't forget to create a OnePass account for your little traveler the moment it arrives.
Thanks for the reply. I did phone but they wont reserve them for me as we dont have the infant on the booking and we cant add the infant until he/she is born. So its simply noted on the booking as a request, which is basically pointless really. I just need to hope that when the wee one arrives 8 weeks out the bassinet's are still not reserved.
One thought is that there are 2 bassinet positions over the three seats. Say there is a family with 2 adults, one child and their infant taking up all three seats but only needing one bassinet, would they split up that family to say mum and baby in the bassinet with dad and child next row to allow another mom to get the other bassinet?
