As it has long been, the USA remains a country of immigrants. Although there may not be huddled masses from the French metropole arriving each day to start a new life here, there are enough fluent French speakers from North Africa, West Africa and Caribbean (Haiti) in most large US cities who are willing to work for airline wages and the free flight benefits.
