Recently checked out Hotel Victor South Beach on a solo business trip. Since it's a nicer property, I used a suite upgrade.
Around 6pm I was sitting in the living room, working, half-staring out the huge window at the beach, and a knock on the door was followed by a decent bottle of cab along with some killer cheeses. Completely unexpected, this was a great amenity!
On a recent FFN stay in Buenos Aires my wife and I were upgraded to a deluxe suite, found a bottle of Malbec in the living room, later received a bottle of bubbles, and enjoyed a complimentary wine and cheese pairing prior to dinner. That was a SHIZAAM burst of amenities!!!
We are heading to PHBC for Christmas on FFN and crossing fingers for decent treatment. I am fortunate that this will be my fourth Park Hyatt this year as a new diamond and I really hope the US hotel can keep up with the international reputation. Is it true Diamonds don't get complimentary access to the spa? We finally get breakfast, but do we get the full-on buffet? Complimentary Diamond buffets maintain my interest in the Hyatt chain and access to the spa draws me in when traveling with my SO.
Without a sense of entitlement, I hope the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek can maintain the sparkling impression we have of the brand.
