Obviously, this is an unfortunate story. As you know, you are not entitled to a compliementary suite upgrade, although that would be a nice thing for the hotel to do. As a Diamond, you are entitled to an upgrade to the executive floor given that it is available. I wonder why they would not offer this. I only stayed at this this property once, but was upgraded to the executive floor.
