With all the devaluation and dilution of the program and cutting of benefits going on, are there any hotels out there which consistently do more for HH Diamond members than they have to?

E.g. at SPG, there is a hotel in Bangkok (Sheraton Sukhumvit) that certainly does a lot more for the top-tier members than they have to, and it seems to pay off for them.

Any hotel like that at Hilton? I used to get suite upgrades (Palmer House, Waikoloa Village, Cavalieri, etc.), now it seems like you get nothing more than barely what they have to give you, if that (not even a free bottle of water at the Hilton Barbados). Makes me seriously wonder if it is even worth suffering through stays at the crappy Hilton Olympia in London and renewing the HH Diamond status next year or if I should just switch to another chain.

If you know of any experiences from hotels which do not follow that path, but are more generous to HH Diamond members than the rules require, please post them here. If they are out there, they are the ones who should get our business.

(Actually, I have one example - the Grand Hilton Seoul, which has been very accomodating. They have a nice lounge and were very kind to me and my parents at several stays.)
