AS just got done normalizing around all 737s. They're not going to bring in a different fleet type and the corporate inefficiencies that go with it (whether it's 757 or 747!) to serve a particular destination. The costs of running a Hawaii-centric airline-within-an-airline would far outweigh the profit potential from the HI stations, and there's no guarantee they're in HI for the long haul anyway.
