Its obviously a very cut budget version of what it was intended to be. The whole EDI departure renovation seems like an excercise in only creating more and larger pubs to service the chav segment heading off to Spanish hols or away football matches and wanting their 7:00am pints. Depressing really. BAA has not increased passenger seating at all, in fact its reduced and there are now 3 large pubs rather than 1. It seems like the BA lounge renovation was just pushed through by BAA to accomodate the new Wetherspoons construction and BA did it as cheap as possible. So EDI now is essentially one large chavvy high street chain pub with some gates bolted on

I think the new EDI lounge was mostly paid for by BAA actually. Virgin have had this at LHR and LGW so its about time BA got in on some free lounge renovation action.
