Be thankful the telephone system doesn't work the same way. Otherwise, we'd never be able to hang up and call back when we don't like the answer the agent is giving us

Agreed. Maybe UA needs a e-mail template that says:

"May we suggest AAnother AAirline for your future AAir travels?"
