Düsseldorf Airport has two train stations, one is right at Flughafen Terminal, the Flughafen Station could be reached by the Skytrain.

Düsseldorf Flughafen Terminal

The entrance is right opposite the Central Building.l The signs show – if I am correct – the Logo of the S-Bahn (S 7)

At this stations departs the S-Bahn S 7 (direction Solingen Ohligs) which will go to Düssel-dorf Hauptbahnhof (Main Station). It departs every 20 Minutes at .03, .23, .43 and needs 11 Minutes to reach the Train Station. Tickets are available at the platform.

Düsseldorf-Flughafen Fernbahnhof

You have to take the Skytrain (take the escalators) to reach this station. The ride takes about 5 minutes. Every Train in direction south stops also at the Hauptbahnhof. If you use the RE (Regionalexpress), S-Bahn; RB (Regionalbahn) you have only to pay for the ticket, no “Zuschlag” (extra charge) for ICE, IC.

If you only have to go to Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, I would recommend the S-Bahn S 7
